Weddings, engagements and portraits
Everything on this page is a real wedding, engagement session or portrait sitting, photographed as it happened. We do not stage moments and we do not re-run a first kiss for a better angle. If a frame is here, it is because it was already there.

What you will notice in these photographs
How we photograph a day
We work in a documentary style, which in practice means we spend most of the day out of your way. You will not hear us directing the room. The exceptions are the group photographs and your portraits, where a little direction saves everybody time.
Available light first
We use flash when a room genuinely needs it, not by default. A dark venue is a craft problem, not an excuse.
The small things
Your grandmother watching the speeches. The shoes by the door. Those are the frames people come back to years later, far more often than the posed ones.
Consistent colour
Every image in a gallery is graded together, so your album does not swing between warm and cold from one page to the next.
Venues we already know
Hotels, museums, conservatories and a great deal of open ground
If you are still choosing a venue, our guides cover the light, the timing and the rooms that are genuinely difficult — free to read whether or not you ever book us.

These are edits. Ask us for a whole delivered gallery.
If you want to see everything a client actually received — start to finish, rather than a curated dozen — ask and we will send you one. It is the only honest way to judge a photographer, and you should ask it of every one you talk to.

How we photograph a day
We work in a documentary style, which in practice means we spend most of the day out of your way. You will not hear us directing the room. The exceptions are the group photographs and your portraits, where a little direction saves everyone half an hour of standing about, and we get those done quickly so you can get back to your guests.
